How we do it
The Governors become members of sub committees (Resources, Children’s, Personnel and Pay) and attend meetings to discuss current issues.
- We make informal visits to the school, interacting with the staff and making observations relating to current issues.
- A full Governing Body meeting is held 5 times a year. Minutes of full governing body meetings are displayed on the notice board outside the office.
- Each Governor also volunteers to look at specific areas of interest e.g. Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Inclusion, Training etc.
- Governors attend training courses supplied by Hertfordshire County Council to enhance their understanding in order to fulfil their role effectively.
